As a System Director, Neurosciences Center of Excellence you will play a critical role in continuing the healing mission of Deaconess.
Job OverviewThis position provides administrative leadership for the full continuum of care for neuroscience services across the Deaconess Health System and strategically foster, maintain, and oversee professional collaborative relationships. Directs all functions related to neuroscience in keeping with the overall philosophy of the hospital to ensure that objectives of quality patient care, advancement of knowledge, and contribution to the community welfare are achieved effectively and efficiently. Responsible for strategic planning neuroscience services and working with clinical teams, entities and providers to meet service line quality, safety, people, financial, and growth goals across all markets within the health system. Assumes 24-hour accountability as appropriate to service line requirements.
Establishes effective operations through management and administrative staff, provides for implementation of organized management and administrative functions throughout the organization.
STRATEGIC and OPERATIONAL LEADERSHIP: Communicates the organization's vision and values to be carried out in the day-to-day activities throughout Deaconess.
CLINICAL PRACTICE & PERFORMANCE. Clearly and consistently defines, interprets, communicates and maintains performance standards as related to all staff members in department. Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice, serves as a resource and mentor.
QUALITY, SAFETY & COMPLIANCE: Creates an environment for organizational performance that supports quality and safety improvements and adheres to applicable laws and compliance regulations
BUILDING CUSTOMER LOYALTY: Determines requirements, needs, expectations and preferences of staff, physicians, other customers, and works to differentiate our organization from others providing similar services
HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT and WORKFORCE ENGAGEMENT: Engages, manages, and develops staff to utilize their full potential in alignment with mission, vision, and strategic initiatives.
FISCAL MANAGEMENT: Responsible for effective and efficient fiscal management of department operations to ensure proper utilization of organizational and financial resources.
What You Will Need
Bachelor’s degree in nursing, heath care administration or related field or equivalent education and experience. MBA or MHA preferred.
Three years of leadership experience required; hospital management experience preferred. Demonstrates leadership, creativity and management skills.
