Homestay[]

Description[]

Welcome! You just got here, but let's get you settled in first. But actually, as soon as you're ready, we'll need to get to work right away: we have a problem tiger on our hands, and this needs our immediate attention.

Objective[]

  • Go to Asmita's village (Lek Bhanjyan)
  • Pick up the food Asmita prepared
  • Harvest one animal ethically

Dialoque[]

Before The Storm[]

Description[]

Now that you're getting a bit more familiar with the different regions in Nepal, we would need you to apply your tracking talent, and find where the tiger has been roaming. We need to understand what its behavior has been in the last few days, and confirm whether it's cause for alarm or not.

Objective[]

  • Go to the tiger sighting area
  • Track the tiger
  • Examine the livestock carcasses
  • Examine the backpack
  • Follow the tiger's tracks

Dialoque[]

Ghost Village[]

Description[]

Yes, it is worse than we thought. The tiger has attacked livestock right next to its herder. She seems to be unharmed, but the tiger is now roaming next to Pauwa, my village. We need to act before a tragedy takes place. Go to the village now.

Objective[]

  • Travel to a village calles Pauwa
  • Pick up the Khukuri in Pauwa
  • Remove 4 weeds
  • Repair 3 broken fences
  • Go to the hunting spot
  • Harvest 2 animals for the villagers (Tahr, Blue Sheep or Northern Red Muntjac)
  • Return to the village!

Dialoque[]

The Man-Eater[]

Description[]

Birendra... He said he shot the tiger... Please follow the blood trail and see what you can find. I hope Birendra's neighbor will be okay...

Objective[]

  • Follow the blood trail
  • Examine the tiger's corpse

Dialoque[]

This Beloved Land of Ours[]

Description[]

Dhanyabaad... Thank you for retrieving the tiger, sathi [my friend]. It is a tragedy Tara died, bbut... she had become a man-eater, so there was no ther choice in that moment.
Birendra told me that his neighbour Suraj will be okay. He's badly injured, but he will be transported to a hospital. If the dust is settling a bit now, maybe we can show you other parts of the reserve, and introduce some of the challenges you should know as a contractor Conservation Officer.

Objective[]

  • Travel to the water buffalo grounds
  • Travel to the Nilgai feeding grounds
  • Travel to the village called Bhanjyanket

Dialoque[]

Blood Bonds[]

Description[]

As you heard, Birendra Dai and I don't always see eye to eye, but we don't want to sugarcoat the truth to you: Nepali people can face significant challenges, there's no denying it. But we disagree on --

Another gunshot? What's going on? Sounds like it was in your area, sathi!

Objective[]

  • Locate the area where the gunshot was fired
  • Search the scene for clues
  • Photograph the bullet casing and blood stains
  • Follow the blood trail

Dialoque[]

A Harsh Environment[]

Description[]

Dai's young friend Manish... apparently he has fled to the mountains. That sounds like a really stupid and dangerous thing to do. Propably something to do with the gundhot accident. In any case, we need someone responsible to look for him.

Objective[]

  • Travel to Ghampus to pick up the trekking gear
  • Pick up the mountain trekking gear
  • Travel to Sherpa Gaun in the Himal
  • Eat the thukpa at the guest house
  • Rest at the guest house
  • Reach the nearest lookout tower

Dialoque[]

The Ghost of the Mountain[]

Description[]

You're now in the Himal region. I'm worried that Manish might want to poach a Snow Leopard, although I can't really belive he would stoop so low. But anyway, let's check the trap cameras, see if any caught a Snow Leopard or Manish.

Objective[]

  • Inspect 3 trap cameras
  • Find PC in Sano Gaun village
  • Use a computer to analyze the video cards
  • Scout the area where a Snow Leopard was spotted

Dialoque[]

At the Edge of the World[]

Description[]

Dai's friend Manish has been spotted in Himgiri, the most inaccessible place in Sundarpatan. What the hell is he doing there? What is he fleeing from? Regardless, if we don't save him, he's going to die... Be careful sathi, this will be tough even for you.

Objective[]

  • Go to the abandoned hut in the Himgiri region
  • Look for Manish
  • Pick up the diary
  • Make a fire to ward off any spirits
  • Follow the strange footsteps
  • Walk to the other side of the lake

Asmita Gurung Missions[]

Family HeirloomWhenever you have the time, I want you to have my grandfather's old hunting rifle. You'll need to pick up its ammo in a seperate location, but the rifle itself he kept in excellent condition.
  • Travel to Asmita's House
  • Pick up the Lockbox Key
  • Unlock Asmita's Lockbox
  • Travel to Barahi
  • Pick up the Ammo
Call of the GhostWe know that there's at least one Snow Leopard on the reserve, but not much else. Try spotting it; I've heard many Sherpa guides say that it's a deeply spiritual experience.
  • Spot a Snow Leopard
Bubalic ProportionsWe could solve all of this buffalo fuss with a bot more information. Could you follow the water buffalo of this reserve to find out whether they are closer to the domestic or wild type?
  • Photograph 10 Water Buffalo from 50m
  • Examine 5 Water Buffalo droppings
  • Examine 30 Water Buffalo tracks
In His FootstepsThe Gandhare Rifle is a sturdy weapon, despite its age and was always my grandfather's favourite. If you walk the same paths that he did and hunt the same animals, then you'll understand why for yourself.
  • Harvest a Tahr or Blue Sheep ethically using the Gandhare Rifle
Ice MountainThe Himal is a beautiful place, rich with fauna and centuries of Buddhist tradition, but it can be very dangerous as well. Try visiting the far reaches of the Himal and hunting all the animals found here to master the high altitude climate.
  • Visit the landmarks of the Himal (Bug: If you visit the Landmarks before you aquire this mission, the landmarks won't be registered and the mission is not finishable!)
  • Harvest a Wild Yak and Earn Gold or better
  • Harvest a Blue Sheep and Earn Gold or better
  • Harvest a Tahr and Earn Gold or better
  • Harvest a Tibetan Fox and earn Gold or better
The HillsIt's a shame that you didn't get to see much of the Pahad beyond my homestay. If you venture through its winding hills, then you can find soome amazing landmarks.
  • Visite the Landmarks of the Pahad (Bug: If you visit the Landmarks before you aquire this mission, the landmarks won't be registered and the mission is not finishable!)
High Altitude HuntingPart of our duties as wardens include preparing the trophy animal populations for hunting season. Harvest some of the smallest Blue Sheep and Tahr to maintain the health of the reserve.
  • Harvest 3 male Tahr weighing 90kg or less
  • Harvest 3 male Blue Sheep weighing 65kg or less

Birendra Majhi Missions[]

MissionDescriptionObjective
Saving the Swamp DeerUgh, poachers have put traps meant for Barasingha near their drinking lakes. Don't they think of the kids who play here too? Please hurry and remove all of these traps before something or someone gets hurt.
  • Remove Barasingha traps (Bug: Sometimes, only one Trap spawnes that starts the mission and the others stay missing, making the mission not finishable!)
Low LandTerai is the home of my people, the Haru. It is full of beautiful plains and fields, and people work hard. But do not take my word for it, and see for yourself all the Terai has to offer.
  • Visit the Landmarks of the Terai (Bug: If you visit the Landmarks before you aquire this mission, the landmarks won't be registered and the mission is not finishable!)
  • Spot a Barasingha
  • Spot a Blackbuck
  • Spot a Muntjac
Antelope WranglingUntil we find a better solution, we ask you to hunt many of the rampant Nilgai herds that are plaguing farmers in the area.
  • Harvest 50 Nilgai
Tiger CrossingTigers have gotten closer and closer to this trail in the last few years, and this can be very dangerous both for tourists and locals. The least we can do is put up a warning sign along the trail and scare some tigers away from the area.
  • Construct tiger warning sign
  • Scare tigers away from the trail
