I was wondering does anyone know how to reset the fuse box or circuit breaker on a peterbilt 387. My radio fuse blew out. I remove the glove box and there are no fuses just a red light on the fuse box indicating the radio fuse is Out..

thanks in advance[/list]

Some may have a switch. Just push the switch the other way and that should do it. If there isn't a switch then you may need to go ahead and replace it.

The main fuse/breaker assembly is under the hood on the passenger side mounted to the firewall next to the windshield washer fill tube. If you have no luck in there, check under the bunk on the passenger side, there's some electrical items in there. I'd go find mine now but it's 5 degrees outside...brrrrr 8) 8)

There's also a chance you have an in-line fuse right behind the radio

I looked under the hood and there are no fuses for the radio there. the only place that have a fuse is behind the glove box but there is no leaver to reset the fuse or a way to take it out. I have not taken the radio out but I can see the back of the radio and I do not see a fuse behind there. MY truck is and 06 model not sure if they are all the same from 01 up. Also under the bed has fuse for the bunk and the trailer..

thanks

Why don't you read the manual?

If you have an owners manual it should tell you exactly where the fuses are located. If you have fuses behind the glove box, I would check there first. Their is usually a grid on the back of the glove box or near by that shows what each fuse or breaker is assigned. Most fuses can easily be checked visually. If the filament is broken, then the fuse is bad. With breakers, you can sometimes tell if they are bad because they get very hot. My guess is that you have a fuse that is blown. If the fuse isn't behind the glove box I would check underneath the steering column. Some trucks have fuses and breakers in that area. If you cannot find it and don't have access to an owners manual, you can always call a dealer and speak with their service department. You could also just start taking out fuses and check them, one at a time. Fuses for the radio should be color coded and easy to spot a blown or damaged filament.

Don't know about yours, but my '03 pete has a fuse box on the firewall, between the clutch pedal and the drivers door
